Parchment
  1. Kosher Forever™ parchments are made to last forever. They can remain kosher longer than any other parchment ever written. The secret is in the special ink, known as דיו לנצח™ - Kosher Forever™ ink.  דיו לנצח is based on advanced materials technology and it conforms to the most stringent kosher requirements.
  2. דיו לנצח is the only kosher ink for parchments which is water-resistant, flexible, and break-resistant. Parchments written with דיו לנצח are so stable, that, even if we try to damage them intentionally, they remain kosher.
  3. The black pigment in דיו לנצח is pure micro-fine soot (also known as carbon black). Soot has always been the preferred pigment both Halachically and Kabbalistically. However, it is very difficult to make good ink with soot. Therefore, conventional ink rarely contains it. And, if it does, it contains only small amounts. דיו לנצח, on the other hand, contains large amounts of such soot, which guarantees that the ink will remain black forever. Unlike conventional ink, it can never fade or turn red.
  4. All defects found in non-kosher parchments are caused by defects in the ink. We all know how embarrasing it feels when we start reading in a Sefer Torah (Torah scroll) and discover that it is not kosher. Now, that דיו לנצח is available, there is no longer any reason to write a Torah or any other parchment with obsolete conventional ink. Next time you plan to buy a Mezzuzah, Tefillin, Megillat Esther, or a new Torah scroll for your Shul, remember to ask if it was written with דיו לנצח™ - Kosher Forever™ ink.
  5. The following tests demonstrate better than a thousand words how strong and stable דיו לנצח is. If we were to perform the same tests on a parchment written with conventional ink, it would have been practically destroyed.

Water Resistance

[Parchment with ink under water]Conventional ink dissolves in water. When a parchment gets wet by accident, or when moisture condenses on the parchment inside a Mezzuzah case, the ink can spread, stain the parchment, and render the parchment non-kosher.

In a parchment written with דיו לנצח, on the other hand, water damage would be impossible. The ink is water resistant. Even if the parchment is flooded with water, the ink remains intact.    read more...

Break Resistance

[Parchment with fold in corner]Conventional ink is brittle. Upon flexing the parchment, or folding it, the ink can break, crack, or flake off the parchment. The slightest break in a letter can render the parchment non-kosher.

In a parchment written with דיו לנצח, on the other hand, accidental breaking of the ink would be practically impossible. The ink is flexible and break resistant. The only way to get the ink off is by scraping it with a knife. Folding it back and forth does not damage the ink.   read more...
